Lisa Lampanelli is a controversial American stand up comedian who is often described as being the ‘Queen of Mean’. She is 51 years old now and after appearing in The Celebrity Apprentice 5, she continued to court controversy after having heated rows with some of the other celebrities.

However she is now making the headlines for other reasons, namely her dramatic weight loss.

Lisa Lampanelli has lost a staggering 80 pounds in weight and now looks a shadow of her former self. It has to be said that she also looks very attractive as well.

So how did Lisa Lampanelli lose so much weight?

Well it wasn’t the result of any fashionable diet, or a new fitness regime. Lisa Lampanelli has actually had weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve surgery to be precise), and it seems to have been a major success.

She has struggled with her weight since the age of 18, but as a result of this surgery, has dropped from 248 lbs to just 168 lbs, which is a size 12.

She admits that she tried going on a number of different diets over the years, but none of them seemed to work for her. So she ended up resorting to weight loss surgery.

As a result of this gastric sleeve surgery, whereby a large part of the stomach is removed, she says that she now feels full up a lot quicker, sometimes after just 3 or 4 bites. This is obviously a major benefit because she says that she has always been an overeater in the past.

She says that she still exercises every day in order to keep the skin taut, and is still losing around 3 pounds per week on average. Therefore you have to say that Lisa Lampanelli’s weight loss surgery has been a big success.

Of course most of us are not in a position to pay for gastric sleeve surgery, or indeed any form of weight loss surgery. However there is no reason why anyone cannot lose the same amount of weight using traditional methods.

For example eating a low calorie diet of around 1200-1500 calories per day, exercising several times a week and maybe taking a good quality fat burning supplement such as Phen375, which can help people lose 3-5 pounds per week, will always deliver results. The only problem is that most people are not disciplined enough to stick to this kind of weight loss plan.

The point is that it is possible to lose similar amounts of weight yourself if you remain focused. You don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on weight loss surgery like Lisa Lampanelli did in order to achieve the same kind of results.
